Bill's place in Heaven is assured. His name always evoked good memories in our family. There was never a better neighbour. His smile and his unique take on current events are memorable.
It was a privilege to know Bill and our condolences go to his family

Aunt Kate, Barb & Gwen...you are in my thoughts and prayers as you mourn the passing of your husband and father. He was a very kind man and had a great sense of humour. I have fond memories of the times that we did spend together at family gatherings. May the memories you have help you in the difficult times ahead. God Bless!!

Bill and Kaye were next door neighbours of ours on Green Rd.Bill was the kindest man around, always there for a helping hand and love talking about sports.I always asked Bill for the use of his step ladder and I told him one of these days I'm going to buy one.He would say heck no just use mine.Bill was so generous that the day they moved he told me he had no use for it in the apartment that him and Kaye wanted me to have the ladder. His humor was greatly appreciated and his comments, like the day he called me up to take him to the Dr's,after the appointment he said lets go for a pizza but don't tell Kaye she'll get mad at both of us.Bill will be sadly missed by all that knew him.Always in our thoughts and sadly missed.

I only spoke to Bill a few times, but my impression of him and image of him was of a strong friendly guy who I do recall was always at the pool to see Barb swim. I wish the family well in this time of sorrow.

I have so many many fond memories of Mr Kowalchuk at the Municipal pool (now Jimmy Thompson Memorial) in Hamilton and at all the great swim meets we attended back in the early 60's.
He was a very kind, gentle and generous person and he made a big impression upon me as a young boy.
His devotion to all the young swimmers in the Hamilton Aquatic Club made our experience that much more special.
A huge hug to Barbara and John and John and Heather.
Love, David

Uncle Bill was always good humored and a kind man. He loved to tease me about things I did and said as a child.
Another family member has gone. Left are only memories.
Love to Aunt Kate, and cousins Barb and Gwen.
