Obituary of Mike Lazeo

LAZEO, Mike Sr. (October 15,1926 - September 12,2009) With saddened hearts we announce the passing of a very devoted Husband, Dad and Papa. Predeceased by his loving wife and best friend Carol (nee Scotland-Dec 25,1933-May 14,2008). Loving father of Sandra (Butch Inkster), Christine Lazeo (Ed Klanjscek), Sharon Lazeo (Shayne Fairman), and Michael (Anne DeMedeiros). Devoted Papa of David (Ashleigh), Jason (Amanda), Jeffrey (Ainsley), Nicola and Izaak. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Frances and siblings Joe, Anne, John and Frances. Also survived by sisters Mary and Olga and several nieces and nephews. Mike was a generous, fun loving, kind and very hard-working family man. He always wanted to ensure others around him were happy and content. His favorite pastimes were playing his harmonica-getting everyone singing and dancing, family time -playing cards, pool, coaching hockey and attending kids sporting/special events, flea markets, gardening and supporting his favorite teams the Toronto Maple Leafs and Hamilton Tiger Cats. Special thanks to all of the wonderful staff at the Villages of Wentworth Heights and St. Joseph’s Hospital for their compassionate care. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, September 14, from 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, on Tuesday, September 15th at 10:30 a.m. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In Mike’s memory, donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the Alzheimer Society, would be appreciated by the family.
