BENTLEY, Frank
Of Stoney Creek, in his 77th year, after a valiant battle with cancer. Beloved husband for 55 years of Nancy. Dearly loved father of Carol and her husband Ken Cracknell, Elaine Martin (Don Marshall) and Guy Martin. Devoted grandfather of Sean, Sarah, Mathew, Kris and Alanna. Dear brother of Gladys Wood and predeceased by his sister Joan Carter. Loved Uncle of Steven Benn (Margaret), Marilyn Thompson (Roy) and Frank Carter (Carol). Frank was a Past Master of St. John’s Lodge #40 AF and AM, Scottish Rite (32nd Degree), Hamilton Rose Croix and Murton Lodge of Perfection. Past Patron (5 times) and a life member of Rosedale Chapter # 131 OES. He was also a 42 year ordinary member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #622 Stoney Creek. Frank will be sadly missed by his wonderful neighbours and many friends. He always had a smile for everyone. The family would like to express their thanks to all the many people who cared for Frank over many years. Dr Hope family doctor and Susan, Dr. Yonge, Dr. Rice, Dr. Davis, Dr. Corbett, Dr. Hotte, Dr. Kim and all the nurses of the Juravinski Cancer Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital, and St. Peter’s Hospital. Thank you to Hamilton C.C.A.C for all of their help and care, all their care givers, Volunteer drivers (Cancer Assistance Program), Seniors for Seniors of Stoney Creek for their rides and everyone who drove Frank for appointments. At Franks request Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his Life will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Ave. Dr., Stoney Creek, 905-662-2948.
