Sincerest condolences to the family from two people who knew Pauline only from her presence at the Fiesta Mall Tim Horton's. She was always welcoming and friendly to customers, took an interest in them--and we are sorry to hear of your loss.

Farewell and Godspeed to my Aunt Poppy (Pauline E Griffith)Sears, who was an inspiration to me. Starting out as the eldest child of Bessie (Christiansen) Griffith, you graduated from Teachers College, started your family with your husband and braved new frontiers to move to Ontario. Summer in Stoney Creek with you and Gram Bess was a magical time for me. You made me feel at home and I will never forget all those trips to the Stoney Creek Dairy and Swimming Pool.(I won't mention the Cherry Orchard). Your sense of humour and strong love and devotion to family were rock solid and sustained you (and many others) through difficult times. I stand in awe of your intelligence, fortitude, humour and compassion and will hold you in my heart forever. Your Journey here on earth has positively impacted mine and I thank you Poppy.

When "Aunt Poppy" was around we could be sure there would be lots of laughter.
Pops, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3)
You have had your time in which you wept; laughed; and mourned. Now it is your time to dance. Turn your face to the sun, and let the shadows fall behind you.
You will remain in our thoughts and hearts always, as will your wonderful laugh.

Remember the wonderful paper dolls with their fashionable clothes we made.
Remember the days of jigging Sunday School? Sipping a coke at the Riv ? Hitching a ride to Woodmans Point? Those crazy square dances at Morrisdale Hall? Hanging out with the wild boys from the pipe band?Sneaking you out of hospital after Lew was born? Sneaking laxatives in?
We had a lot of fun.Safe trip. love, Chris
