Obituary of Orpha Mabel Shuker

SHUKER, Orpha Mabel (Bowslaugh) At the Stoney Creek Lifecare Centre on Sunday, May 31, 2009, in her 95th year. Predeceased by her husband Harold and her brother Ralph. Orpha is survived by her sister Reita Hawkey, daughter Phyllis Lambert (Gene), sons Larry (Jan), Ken (Judi), Lynn (Janet) and 13 grandchildren. Mom is also survived by many great-grand- children and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was a lifelong member of Rock Chapel United Church and the Ridge Road Relics. Many thanks to the staff at Stoney Creek Lifecare Centre for their nurturing of our mother over the past 8 years. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, June 2 at 1 p.m. A private family Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
