Obituary of Pearl (Margaret) Skirving

SKIRVING, Pearl (Margaret) Pearl passed away peacefully through the night on Monday, September 28, 2009, at the Stoney Creek Lifecare Centre, in her 94th year. Loving wife of 38 years to the Late Peter Skirving and caring and loving mother of Neil Skirving (Dianne). Pearl was a cherished grandmother to Erin, Cheryl and Ian and an endeared great-grandmother to Marcus, Alyssa and Jasmine. Pearl was an active volunteer and served Glover Road School, Wesley United Church and latterly the Literary Society. Her greatest joys were her family, friends and reading. As per Pearl’s request, there will be no Visitation or Service. Cremation has taken place and a private Family Service will take place at the Graveside. Special thanks to Stoney Creek Lifecare Centre for their wonderful and excellent care. Donations in Pearl’s memory to the Alzheimer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
