GREEN (Goldsmith), Jean (One in a Million)
Peacefully at the Meadows in Ancaster with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Oliver Goldsmith and David Albert (Bert) Green. Loving mother of John Goldsmith (Joanna), Jane (Dr. Albert Scholtz) all of B.C., Bill Goldsmith (Rose) of Hamilton, Bob Goldsmith (Sandy) of Grimsby and step-son Dr.’s Robert Green (Lois) of Saskatoon. Dear grandmother of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Ada Woods of London and predeceased by her brother Raymond Brown. Jean enjoyed a long and rewarding career in Nursing, graduating in 1934 and retiring from the Henderson Hospital in 1974. Special thank you to the staff at the Meadows for all of their compassion and care. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Ave. Dr., Stoney Creek on Saturday, May 23rd, from 1 p.m. until the service at 2:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
