Obituary of Madeleine Mary VanGoch

VANGOCH, Madeleine Mary (nee Halper)

(February 24, 1948 to November 16, 2018)

On November 16, 2018 Madeleine peacefully passed away surrounded by her family who take comfort in knowing that she will be back with the love of her life, Al. Affectionately known as Mad and Maddy, she will be greatly missed by her children Loretta Anderson (Keenan) and Dan VanGoch (Mandy) and her grandchildren Michael, Neil and Kallie. Mad leaves behind brothers Louis Halper (Jeanette), Bobby Halper (Cindy) and Joey Halper (Julie) and sister Theresa Halper as well as several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Adrian & Sharon VanGoch, Pat and Mike Noonan, Gary and Marlene Holland, Anna and Martin Brouwers and Herman and the late Joanne Plas and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Mad was always the light of a party and was known for making everyone laugh with her great sense of humour. Her home always had an open door and she welcomed anyone that came by. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 934 Hwy. #8, Stoney Creek on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow.   In Madeleine’s memory, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
