Dear George and Family, I’m so grateful that I got to visit with you and Marina during two visits to Canada from England, and I’ll treasure those memories. Although we’re distant relatives - we’re all family and it’s so nice to have that connection over the miles that separate us. What a beautiful and generous lady, Marina was, and I feel privileged to have been able to spend some time in her company. Sending my love to you all at such a sad time. Jackie (Fletcher) XX

George and family, I am so grateful Jordan and I were able to see Marina at St. Peter’s. She was kindness personified and had a great capacity for compassion. I remember staying with you when I was a little girl. LOL. How she would make those times such fun. She would listen so intently and express such wonder, such joy at all I would want to tell her as a child which I had learned about the world around me (which of course, being an adult, having lived longer she really already knew!) I have so many memories and remember so many chats over the years. All of us being together at so many occasions in our lives. However, her care, love and support in nursing my own mother when she was dying of cancer and just wanted to be home is forever foremost in my mind and carried in my heart. It meant the world to me during that terrible time. My family will never forget that or her care at one the saddest times in our own lives. She will be missed. It was good to be able to see first hand that she was well supported and tenderly cared for by the brilliant staff at St. Peter’s, 3 West on Maplewood. Marina, your body has returned to ash but your soul has simply gone ahead to the hereafter; here in spirit, never far, yet after an earthbound life. Love you, Iris and Jordan XXXOOO
