Elaine was one in a million, we lost a big beautiful spirit. She helped countless people in her career and touched so many in her private life. Always happy to see people and make them feel she was there for them.

Elaine was such a lovely person and such a kind soul. She was a ray of sunshine in our department at Hamilton General. She was always so eager and willing to teach and help her fellow coworkers. I’ll never be able to repay her for the amount of knowledge and skills I learned from her. I’m so sorry for the loss of Elaine and am thinking of her family through this tough time.

Elaine was a lovely person. No one who knew her could forget that brilliant smile! I was privileged to cross paths with her throughout our careers and to work with Elaine in CCU. She took great care of her patients & was always happy to share her knowledge - a credit to our profession.

No words can say how sorry we are to hear of her passing. So happy that Nancy and I had the privilege of a wonderful lunch last September and she looked absolutely wonderful, but unfortunately had had the diagnosis of her cancer at that time.

Our deepest condolences to Doug, Chris and family. I worked with Elaine for several years on Ward 35, a medical teaching unit as well ICU. She went to high school with my husband Brian. Elaine was also in the interventional radiology 6 years ago when my mom had stents put into her carotid artery. Elaine was so kind as well a lovely person to work with. Condolences to Doug and family…. I worked with Elaine in the old ICU at the General. We were on the same team for many years. She was a great nurse who was loved by both patients and coworkers.I have so many great memories of fun, outgoing Elaine. Doug and Elaine hosted many fun ICU parties at their home in the 80’s. She was always so kind to all. May Elaine’s bright smile shine forever!
