I never had the pleasure of meeting your lovely wife but I did get to know Art very well as he supplied fresh flowers to Hodgson's Florist where I worked and then at my own business Kathy's Flowers & Gifts years ago. On behalf of Caledon Hills Fellowship Baptist Church, in response to Dan & Kate Heersink's request of our church family to pray, I wish to express our love and compassion for you all as you mourn the loss of Mrs. Koornneef while standing on God's holy promises: "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. 'Yes,' says the Spirit, 'they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them'" (Revelation 14:13). "You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand" (Psalm 16:11). "Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5). Be assured of our prayers as you grieve, yield thanks, remember and rejoice because of the death of death achieved at the Cross, and our victory in Jesus secured in his resurrection from the dead. Hallelujah, what a Saviour and soon coming King. Pastor Bill Henderson

Love you so much Grandma, thanks for teaching me how to paint, taking care of me when I was sick, baking with me and making endless Grandma-pancakes, and being there for all my most cherished memories in Temagami growing up. I’m so glad we got the extra few years with you and you were able to meet Jade, and even be one of the first to visit after she was born. I’m so grateful she got to meet you (& she is happy you get to run around and play with Jesus and Bailey in Heaven now). Thanks for being an amazing grandma, we all love you so much and you’ll be missed.

I’m going to miss my big sis. She was very talented with her painting on many different surfaces, knitting, crocheting, and quilt making. I have many beautiful memories of her. She was loved by all who knew her and I know she will be missed by many. Carol is in a much better place with our Lord. May God give Art peace and rest as he Carrie’s on without her.
