Obituary of Johanna Koudys

Johanna passed away peacefully at the Meadows Long Term Care Home, in Ancaster, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of 71 years to the late Albert Nicholas Koudys and loved mother of Betty and Albert. Johanna was also predeceased by her parents and siblings, all in the Netherlands. Will be lovingly remembered by Peter, Martin and Diane and Bill and Marianne Koudys along with several nieces and nephews scattered throughout Ontario.

Johanna was married in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in May1948 and soon after immigrated to Canada.  Johanna worked for many of her early years in Canada picking fruit at her brother-in-law’s (the late George Coker) fruit farm, and then, along with her late husband Albert, with the Van Noort Bulb Company. Johanna worked in the home most of her life taking care of the family first in Winona, then to Fruitland and finally, in 2020, moved to Lynden Ontario.  She spent the final 6 months of her life at the Meadows Long Term Care Home in Ancaster.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no Funeral Service.
