Obituary of Anne Marie Himmen

HIMMEN, Anne Marie 1952-2009 Anne Marie Himmen passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the age of 57, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Grant McCabe. Anne Marie will also be missed by her mother Bertha Himmen, two brothers John (Kim) and Bill (Trudy), and her only niece Marguerite. We give special thanks to Anne Marie’s RN friends for facilitating the home stay. Anne Marie was a registered nurse for 31 years with St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was an accomplished artist, fisherman, old car hobbyist and motorcycle touring enthusiast who loved trips to the Northwest Territories and elsewhere. She was predeceased by her father Herb in 2009 and her sister Pauline in 1989. We look forward to welcoming visitors in this celebration of life at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Sunday from 3-5 p.m and Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Of The Assumption Church, 63 Hwy. 20, Elfrida, on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment Glanbrook Cemetery.
