Obituary of Stephanie Koniecki

KONIECKI, Stephanie (nee Urban) In her 88th year and after a full life and eventually succumbing to the complications arising out of diabetes, Stephanie went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. As she is now rejoicing in glory, she leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 62 years Zbigniew “Dick” Koniecki. Also missing her are her children Barbara (Tom) Jackson, Elizabeth (Mark) Dungey and Paul Koniecki. Her ever faithful dog “Sparky” was always by her side too. Stephanie was a great lady who loved the Lord with all of her heart. She was a survivor of WWII who left her native Poland for a new opportunity with her husband in Canada. She was the best wife, mother and mother-in-law a family could ever have. A long-time member of Peoples Church Hamilton. Friends may pay their respects at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery, Nash Rd. and Barton St. Many thanks for the loving care and tremendous support of Dr. Ingram and his outstanding staff and team on the 7th floor, Nephrology and Urology Department of St. Joseph’s Hospital. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Peoples Church (Missions), Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation in Stephanie’s honour would be appreciated by the family.
