Obituary of Ivan Kopecny

KOPECNY, Ivan Born in Zagreb, Croatia on December 8, 1914 to Johan and Helena Kopecny, Ivan passed away suddenly on October 14, 2013 at the Clarion Nursing Home in his 99th year. Ivan will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Zlata-Marija (nee Luksic). Ivan was a proud father to Marijan and father-in-law to Ivanka. Cherished grandfather to Thomas Kopecny, Sonja Holmes (Clayton) and great-grandfather to Calder and Taegan. Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, October 16 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 17, at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The family would like to thank staff at the Clarion Nursing Home for their devoted care and support during Ivan’s stay.
