Obituary of Dr. David Anthony Ballok Ph.D.

BALLOK, Dr. David Anthony Ph.D. March 3, 1977 to October 23, 2010 Our beloved David is now in the embrace of Jesus. He will be dearly missed by his parents David and Rosemary, his brother Daniel and special nieces Victoria and Jasmine. Predeceased by his grandparents John and Mary Florio and Stephan and Annie Ballok. Also survived by many loved aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. David accomplished much in his young life. He graduated from the University of Western Ont. with a B.Sc. Biology degree. From McMaster University, David obtained his Hon. B.Sc. Biology & M.Sc. in Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences and subsequently his Ph.D in Medical Sciences in 2006. David received numerous scholarships, honours, travel grants and awards. He shared his knowledge through many presentations. David worked at McMaster as a teaching assistant, as well as a researcher. He was accepted by the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law where his studies were to commence in September 2010. Special thanks to the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital for their compassionate care of David. Visitation at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Vigil prayers Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, on Thursday, October 28th at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow.
