Auntie Buzz was the big YES in our lives. For my siblings and I she brought us love and discipline (she called us affectionately 'the brats'). We strongly associated her visits with her wonderful baking and, if food is love, she LOVED us. Through all of life's difficulties, Auntie Buzz was our constant source of unconditional love and support. It guided us and kept us safe.

Elizabeth was a great teacher, mentor, patient advocate ....too many things to list however for me, she was not only my Aunt Elizabeth but also my Friend. Her loss will be felt everyday but I am comforted knowing she can rest now. I was blessed and am thankful to have had her in my life for so many years.

Deborah and Family – I met your Mother in my first year of training. We had one week in class and one on a unit. My unit was ward 22 where your Mom was the Head Nurse. We were told it was bedpan alley and it didn’t sound too impressive. But, I loved it and found your Mom to be a great leader and teacher. When I graduated in 1965 I chose your Mom’s unit and later in my career she was my supervisor. I always found her to be fair and someone who had the patient’s best interests in mind at all times. This week I was recalling different experiences such as when she dished out meals she had us keep the dishes on the tray in a certain order, wanting it to be a pleasing dining experience (however it was hospital food!). The castors on the bed had to be straight and no half slips when we wore dress uniforms! All of these are fond memories. She was so proud of her daughter and later on her grandsons. She was a special lady and I was proud to be one of her staff. Thank you for sharing her with so many. Please accept my sympathy on the loss of your Mom. Sincerely, Jan Warneke

As a Student, Elizabeth always frightened me. She stood so tall and erect with her arms crossed in front. I guess she was a supervisor when she came to the ward. I was so wrong , Mrs. Kroch was friendly, knowlegable and kind. Rest in Peace Elizabeth.
