Obituary of Thelma Layton

LAYTON, Thelma (Anderson) At the Hamilton General Hospital, on Sunday, August 17, 2008, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Milton. Beloved mother of Brian and his wife Linda, Lawrence and his wife Terry, Christine and her husband Allen Taylor, Joyce and her husband Jim Ball and Cathy and her husband Richard Lemire. Loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. Dear sister of Mervyn and his wife Alice, George and his wife Gail, Gordon and Stan Anderson, Joyce Monteith and Olla and her husband Jim Stephenson. Predeceased by her brother Wallace Anderson. Will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Eileen and by her many other in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, August 22 at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
