Obituary of Norman Roy Linington
LININGTON, Norman Roy - After a short illness, Norman passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday, September 27, 2007, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Matilda. Loved father of Mary Heinhold (Bill) and Joyce Hooker (Dick) and the late Fred Hall. Dear grandfather of Randy Heinhold, Kathy Snyder (Johal), Karen Coderre, John Wass, Phyllis Wass, Robert Hall and great-grandchildren Aaron, Ashlee, Alysha, Amy and Michael. Dear brother of Ariel Henderson and sister-in-law Dorothy Linington. Predeceased by his brother Bill Linington and sisters Bernice Brown and Betty Nixon. Also survived by his nephews and friends David Linington (Connie) and Greg Linington (Jill). Norman was a Veteran of WW II having served in the R.C.N. in the D Day Campaign. He was a member of the Naval Veterans Association and Branch 58 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN Funeral Home, 36 Lake Ave. Dr., Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, October 1 at 1 p.m. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
