Obituary of Donald Andrew Job Lucas

LUCAS, Donald Andrew Job November 30, 1921 - February 20, 2010 – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of a beloved husband and adored father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loved friend. We believe that dad left this world for a better place, knowing he was loved for his guidance, influence, leadership and his unending friendship. He was married to Beryl (Maguire) for almost 68 years and it was a marriage made in heaven – together they set the bar high for the generations to follow. He will be missed terribly and always loved by Beryl and their children Bill (Joanne) of Woodstock, Darlene Walton (Gary) of Guelph, Dolores Raycraft (John) of Stevensville, Beth Costantini (Tony) of Longwood, Florida and Paddie Lucas (Steve Stone) of Grimsby. He was so proud of his 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, February 24 at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Lincoln Park Retirement Community, Grimsby. Sincere thanks to the staff of Lincoln Park Retirement Community who have loved and taken care of mom and dad these past three years, to the staff of IBC Hospital, Tijuana, Mexico, to Dr. A.
