Obituary of Robert (Bob) William Lyle

LYLE, Robert William “Bob” (1949-2010) After a long and courageous struggle with leukemia, Bob made peace with himself and accepted God into his heart as he passed away peacefully and free of pain on March 5, 2010. He will be remembered and greatly missed by his loving and caring family; wife of 40 years Henriette “Henri”, daughter Bobbi-Jo, son Don and best “bud” grandson Alex. He was predeceased by his mother Gladys. He’s survived by his brother and sisters, many nieces and nephews and other family. Bob worked for Stelco for 37 years prior to retiring, and enjoyed hockey and cars. He will be dearly missed by the Pelletier family. Somewhere there’s a garage in heaven where you will find him hanging with his best friend and mentor Nazaire. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, March 9th at 10:30 a.m. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
