MacDONALD, Richard Stanley Passed away peacefully at Emmanuel House, Hamilton, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, June 6, 2013, in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Mary Messina. Loving father of Jessica. Dear brother of Irene MacDonald, Bobby MacDonald (Linda Taylor), Janet Willoughby (Mike), Norman MacDonald and brothers and sisters-in-law; Bill Messina (Helen), Angie Brydges, Jenny Moore (Walt), Tina Rumph (Brian), Sherry Messina and Eddy Messina. Dear uncle of Sean, Nadine, Lisa, Craig, Natalie (Mike), Melissa, Andrea, Ashley, Lukas, Jacob, Victoria, Brandon and Laura. Rick was a Member of Ironworkers Union Local 736 for over 40 years. Special thanks to the Staff at Emmanuel House for all of their compassion and care. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 11 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Emmanuel House would be appreciated by the family.
