Our sincere condolence to your family. Lloyd called the day before Christmas to wish me and my family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. He called often since Bill had passed to see how I was managing. So thoughtful. He will be sadly missed by all. He was such a character.

We were so blessed to have been neighbors with the best of the best.
To hear his shout out as we come and go. The phone calls just to make sure we are alright. The treats for Baxter as we walk by, and always having an eye out for the girls.
There is just no man better at being a great neighbor and friend. We will miss Lloyd more that words could ever express.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family at this very difficult time.
Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, but Love leaves a memory that no one can steal.

Our hearts and prayers go out to you at this very difficult and sad time. Sometimes there are no words to express the feelings one has.
Lloyd was always a very gracious and welcoming person to be with and to talk to. He phoned us the day before his passing and said this would be the last call of the year. As many times as I have spoken to him since your Mother's funeral, I will always cherish this call the most.
We are so sorry that we cannot be there for the funeral but circumstances just won't permit it but our thoughts and prayers will be with you all as you celebrate his life and mourn his passing. A Mass will be said in thanksgiving and inmemorium. God bless you and give you all the strength and blessings to help you through you time of grief and mourning. May memories bring healing and smiles.
We are aware that your Father's life is being celebrated on the anniversary of your Mother's passing. They are together forever. Safe home.
Love to all
Uncle Charles and Aunt Brenda

From:Father Andy Macbeth
Dear Chris and Family,
I was saddened to hear from Anne of your Father's death.
On Sunday Dec. 30th I offered a Mass for Lloyd.
Unfortunately, I am unable to attend your Dad's funeral as I have a Mass here at 8:20am.
I notice that Lloyd's funeral will be on the Anniversary of Jeanne's death ('09) which seems so fitting.
I will remember them both and you all, in my Mass on
Fri. Jan. 4th.
My prayers go with you over these days ahead!
Sincerely,
Fr. Andy Macbeth

He was aptly known as "Good ol' Lloyd" in my early days at Dofasco (1980), wisdom he enstilled upon me back then I still remember and often over the years I have fondly remembered Lloyd and laughed all over again at one of his may sayings or stories.
A good man missed by all.
Condolences to the family and friends of "Good ol' Lloyd"

It was my great privilege to know Mr. Manders (Lloyd). Throughout my long and continuing friendship with the Manders family, Lloyd always impressed me with his cheerful and friendly personality, his sense of the wit of life, his great work ethic and responsible nature. His practical viewpoints and down-to-earth values were always enjoyable facets of his company. I will miss him very much and I know that his family to whom he was very much dedicated, will miss his intelligent sagacity as well as a devoted father.

I was so surprised to hear about Lloyd's passing. I have fond memories of him growing up and most recently from those wonderful family gatherings each summer on Allumettes Island. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

There's a love within our family tree and happiness abound. It's roots are deeply planted, in rich and fertile ground.
We enjoy the rays of sunlight, and endure the winds and rain, and when a leaf falls from our tree together we share the pain.
God gave us earthly families and never did intend,
that bonds of love built on earth, upon our death would end.
For when our life is over and from earth our souls will flee one bye one, leaf by leaf He'll rejoin our family tree.
with love for Grandpa Manders

He never looks for praises
He's never one to boast
He just goes on quietly working
For those he loves the most
His dreams are seldom spoken
His wants are very few
And most of the time his worries
Will go unspoken too
He's there.... A firm foundation
Through all our storms of life
A sturdy hand to hold to
In times of stress and strife
A true friend we can turn to
When times are good or bad
One of our greatest blessings,
The man that we call Dad.
