Obituary of Rita Marchionda

MARCHIONDA, Rita Rita passed away suddenly, at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at the age of 57. Daughter of the late Salvatore and Giovanna Marchionda. Loved sister of Chris and his wife Cheryl, Luisa and her husband Dennis Smith, Anna Marchionda and Angela Marchionda. Dear aunt of Chiara Rose Smith. Will be missed by her feline companion Sarina. Also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins, in Canada, the United States and Italy. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Eugene’s Roman Catholic Church, (Queenston Rd. and Parkdale Ave.) on Wednesday, April 7th at 9:30 a.m. Inurnment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
