Obituary of Mira Markovic

MARKOVIC, Mira After a courageous battle with cancer, Mira passed away, at St. Peter’s Hospital on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Dragoljub “Danny” (2004). Devoted mother of Misa “Miles”. Survived by her sister Denica Roknic. Will be missed by many family and friends in both Canada and Serbia. Special thanks to the Radjukovic and Sanovic families for all of their help, as well as the staff of St. Peter’s Hospital for their extreme compassion and care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday and Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Pomen Thursday at 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 149 Nash Rd.S., on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11a.m. with The Very Reverend Father Djuro Samac officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In Mira’s memory, donations to St. Peter’s Hospital would be appreciated.
