Obituary of Patrick McGuinness
McGUINNESS, Patrick
On March 14, 2012 in his 89th year at the Bob Kemp Hospice, following a long battle with cancer. Patrick was predeceased by his sister Lucy, and his brothers John, Frank, Tony, David, Joe and Jim. He is survived by Dulcie, his beloved wife of more than 65 years, now living at Heritage Green nursing home. He is also survived by his sister Mary (Perth, Australia), his sons Kevin and Peter (Nina), his grandsons David and Elias, and countless nieces and nephews. Patrick will be fondly missed by all of them, as well as by his many friends. He moved to the Hamilton area in 1962, and worked at Westinghouse, Cities Service (Columbian Carbon), and Edson Machinery. A devout member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, he was active in many community and social organizations over the years. Since retiring, Patrick and Dulcie spent much of their time in Florida, where they also have many friends. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. Funeral
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., April 16, 2012, at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, 63 Highway 20 East, close to the intersection of Highways 53 and 20. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, 277 Stone Church Road East, Hamilton, L9B 1B1.
