Obituary of Cortland Arthur McKay

McKAY, Cortland Arthur Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Shirley Muriel McKay of 64 years. Cherished father of Cortland Jr. (Marg), David (Linda), Anne Lewis (John), Susan Castelli (Albert) and Dennis. Dear brother of Russell (Edna), Myrtle Armstrong, Mildred Crumb (Danny), Clarence (Fran), James (Marlene), Charles (Chris). Predeceased by his parents Russell and Amanda McKay and sisters Janet Souter and Clara McKay. Survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cort was the ice-cream manager at the Stoney Creek Dairy from 1952-1994. He was also a charter member of Stoney Creek Baptist Church. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Dunnville. In Cort’s memory, donations to NO. 6 RCAF Dunnville Museum, 1999 Inc., Box 232 Dunnville, ON, N1A 2X5 would be appreciated by the family.
