Obituary of Jack Millar

MILLAR, Jack Passed away, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Juravinski Hospital on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in his 78th year. Will be missed by Janet and children John (Karen), Susie Aiton (Gary), and Gord (Cheryl). Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Kelly), Sara, Amy, Elizabeth and Stephen. Survived by siblings Flo Mackie, Bob and Bill Millar and many nieces and nephews. Jack was retired from Stelco with 42 years of service and a proud member of Local 1005. He was the founder of the Stelco Slo-Pitch League, a past president of SCMHA and a member of Stoney Creek Legion Branch 622. A special thank you to the staff at Juravinski Hospital for their care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Juravinski Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
