PARK, James Delorne
Better know as “Lorne”, born October 9, 1937 in Hamilton. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lorne in his 71st year after a valiant battle with cancer, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton on June 18, 2008 with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Brown) for 49 years. Loving father of Stephen and his wife Peggy, Ronald and his wife Susan, Robert (Bob) and his wife Karen. Proud grandpa to Tania, Kyle, Michael and Matthew. Great grandpa to Chase and Maddison. Brother in law and lifetime friend of Douglas Ward and deceased sister in law Beverly Ward, Joan and Ken Theobald. Lorne left his supervisor position at the steel Making Crane Department at Stelco after 28 years service to pursue a career as a Commercial Bailiff serving in the Golden Horseshoe for over 27 years. Lorne’s passions included politics at all three levels as well as taking great pride in his home and gardens. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, the Henderson Hospital Ward 385 and 395 and the Nursing Staff at St. Peter’s Hospital, 3 East for their compassionate and loving care. Lorne will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, June 23 at 11 a.m. Interment chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
