Obituary of Iva Jean Peever

PEEVER, Iva Jean (nee Taylor) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean after a short, courageous battle with cancer, peacefully at Hospice of Huntsville on Saturday, August 18, 2012, in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Ray Dawson Peever, Clarence Peever and Charles Diggins. Loved mother of Mary Jean (Rick) Benn of South River and William (Paula) Diggins of Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Loved grandmother of Jennifer (Andrew), David (Tina), Julie (Eric), Michaela (Traves) and Mindy; and great-grandmother of Victoria, Trevor, Melissa, Autumn, Aaron, Riley, and Nick. Dear sister of Sadie Gerhardt, and William Taylor. Predeceased by her sibling Sister Mary (Ina) Taylor. Jean was an active member of the Salvation Army. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Winterberry Heights Salvation Army Church, 300 Winterberry Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, August 22nd at 11 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In Jean's memory, donations to Winterberry Heights Church would be appreciated by the family.
