Obituary of Harold Graham Pettifer

PETTIFER, Harold Graham Harold, of Stoney Creek, passed away peacefully in hospital on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Jessie (Enns) for 63 years. Dearest father of Sharon (Allan) Thompson of Scarborough and Graham (Valerie) of Kanata. Loving grandpa of Caroline (Gihad) Nesrallah of Toronto, David (Bridgette) Thompson of Calgary, Kathleen (Jonathan) Turner of Toronto, Sandra of Kanata and proud great-grandpa of Eli and Simon Nesrallah. Predeceased by his siblings Viola, Chauncey and James. Harold was a World War II veteran who served in the UK, France and Belgium. He worked 46 years with the National System of Baking in St. Catharines, Ottawa and Hamilton. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Harold's life will be held at the Church of Our Saviour The Redeemer, 25 Lake Avenue South, Stoney Creek, ON at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Harold to the Church of Our Saviour The Redeemer or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
