Obituary of Eileen Margaret Porter

PORTER, Eileen Margaret After a long and valiant struggle with Alzheimer’s, Eileen passed away at Heritage Green Nursing Home on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband Ivan. Beloved mother of Linda (Wayne) Haslip. Cherished grandmother of Dean (Deanne), Sarah (Rich) Sondermeyer and great-grandmother of Serena and Nathaniel. Survived by twin sisters Ruth Luft of Kitchener and Rita Schenk of Hanover. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery. In Eileen’s memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
