Obituary of Garnet Pottruff

POTTRUFF, Garnet Suddenly at his residence in Hamilton on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Amy Pottruff. Dear father of Maxine Connelly, Karen and her husband John Molnar, Jim and his wife Tracy and Gary. Devoted grandfather of Chad (Tina), Spencer (Kaley) and Lana Connelly, Vaughn and Grayson Pottruff and Kerry Smith and great-grandfather of Ava Grace and Lola Amy Connelly. Dear friend of Blanch Duquette. Predeceased by his brothers Fred, Anson, Cecil and sister Ruby Felker. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and relatives in Prince Edward Island. Garnet was a well respected member of the Hamilton, Burlington and District Real Estate Board for over 40 years and proud owner of Pottruff & Oliver Realty since 1977. Garnet was kind, generous and a true gentleman to the end. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, January 8 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Trinity Church Cemetery, Hannon.
