Obituary of Anne Radvak

RADVAK, Anne (Novak) Peacefully at the Henderson General Hospital on Monday, February 11, 2008, of Stoney Creek, at the age of 80 years. Born July 31, 1927 in Ribnica, Slovenia. Came to Canada aboard the Empress of Britain in 1932. Daughter of the late John and Mary Novak. Beloved wife of John Radvak, married June 27, 1948. Loving mother of John (Lorraine), Rosemary Vrscay (Ed), Joseph (late Marsha), Liana Kennedy (Blaine) and loving grandmother of six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Anne was an active member of theCWL, St. Francis Xavier Parish and well known to all as a baker extraordinaire, sharing G + T’s in her garden with family and friends, green teas at Tai Chi, polka trips and the Noranda girls. Her love and laughter will be treasured and greatly missed. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Francis Xavier Church on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow.
