Obituary of Karen Anne Ratkowski

RATKOWSKI, Karen Anne (nee Smith) With the warm sun on her face and a gentle breeze in her hair, Karen passed away outside peacefully, beside the waterfall at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, surrounded by family and friends on August 20, 2012. Beloved wife of John for 50 years. Loving and cherished mother of Wendy and Grant Darby, and Tracy Gowland. Much loved gramma to her adored grandchildren Lauren, Callum, Holly and Nick. Devoted sister of Gloria Weir. Thanks to all those who helped Karen and her family through this time of need. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow.
