Obituary of Geraldine Rattray

RATTRAY, Geraldine “Gerrie” (Overholster) Peacefully at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 19, 2011, in her 82nd year. Wife of the late Thomas Rattray. Loving mother of Susan Dies and her husband Eric of Calabogie, Rose Nikoloski and her husband John of Grimsby, Robert Rattray of Dundas, David Rattray of Smithville and Cindy Osborne (adopted daughter) and her husband John of St. Catharines. Loving grandmother of Matthew, Mark, Brittany, Jessica, Mike and Nikki. Dear sister of Lorne Overholster and his wife June, David Overholster, Bill Overholster and his wife Betty and Jackie Bennett. Predeceased by her sister Madeline Lockhart. Special thanks to Dr. N. Abram, Dr. R. Hollenberg, Dr. C. Patterson and Linda, Dr. D. Robinson, the West Niagara Palliative Care Team, the staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Ward C and mom’s extended family at Lincoln Park Specialty Living. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At Gerrie’s request, there will be no Funeral Service. Cremation will take place later followed by a private interment of her ashes. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
