Obituary of Cornelis Ravensbergen

RAVENSBERGEN, Cornelis (Chris) On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, after a very brief illness, surrounded by his loved ones, Chris entered into rest at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Grimsby, in his 82nd year. Son of the late John and Helen Ravensbergen and predeceased by his son Christopher in 1970. Beloved father of John (Yvonne) and Jeanine (Alexander). Cherished grandfather of Melissa (Kerry), Christopher (Marie), Alinde, Alexander Jr. and great-grandfather of Jacob, Braeden, Nolan and Evan. Dear uncle of numerous nephews and nieces. Survived by his devoted sisters Catherine Den Haan (Bert), Frances Hilvers (Harry) and Anna Ravensbergen. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service will take place at St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church, #8 Hwy., Winona, on Friday, September 21st at 11 a.m. followed by a Graveside Service at Fifty Road Cemetery in Winona. Reception to follow at St. John Anglican Church. A special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at West Lincoln Hospital. If so desired, donations may be made to the JCC.
