Obituary of Mae Burrows

BURROWS, Mae (Bishop) Peacefully, at St. Peter’s Hospital, on Saturday, September 19, 2015 in her 80th year. Predeceased by her husbands Ted Bishop (1979) and Earl Burrows (2005) and by her brother Allan Hugill (1982). Dearly loved mother of Elaine and David Parsons of Drayton, Larry and Peggy Bishop of Troy, David and Sandra Bishop of Brussels, Ron Bishop and Irene Laskowski of Ottawa, Julie and John Dove of Stoney Creek. Dear step-mother of Clinton and Lisa Burrows of Binbrook, Karen and Jeff White of Poplar Hill. Mae was the proud “Nana” of 17 grandchildren, Tim and Mike Parsons, Christopher Bishop, Morgan and Amy Bishop, Olivia and Andrew Bishop, Jarod, Jessica and Johnny Bishop-Dove, Meghan, Joshua, Johanna and Aaron Burrows, Jason, David and Clayton White. Great-nana of Rosie, Victoria and Audrey. Also loved by many nieces and nephews. Mae enjoyed her family and community. She was a member of the Women’s Institute, Lynda-Rebekah Lodge and Binbrook United Church. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Binbrook United Church on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. with visitation the hour prior. Interment to follow at Mount Zion Cemetery. In Mae’s memory, donations to Binbrook United Church or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
