Ken was one of nicest people I have ever met.
I met Ken first in the late eighties at CCIW. We worked on dozens of projects together.
I have called him out in the middle of the night during thunderstorms to restart equipment that kept fish, bacteria, turtles etc. alive.
He was as cheerful when he arrived to work, at three o'clock in the morning as he was doing routine maintenance around the building.
Always happy, and upbeat. Always extremely competant.
So sad that he is gone, so soon.

Ken was a most cheerful and wonderful fellow to encounter in the halls where I worked. Whether he was doing a job for our lab or not, he was always ready with a greeting and humorous and very informative conversation. Not only was he very engaging, his work was always excellent and timely.
I'm very sorry for your loss! I'll miss his sunny presence.

Ken was my big brother...and I utterly idolized him. We became particularly close during this last decade. We shared long conversations on the phone; talking about everything under the sun – sometimes speaking several times a week. We had so much in common. We were effortless. We never took each other for granted and we always told each other we were loved.
Through him, I grew to know and love Cathy, his “Juliette”, and his shining stars Megan and Nicole. Through Ken’s heart, I healed my own heart. He helped me to accept what I couldn’t change, to believe in myself, to draw healthy boundaries and to make strong, thoughtful choices.
I will love Kenny forever and I will never forget one moment of how good he was to me – how good he was FOR me.
I am grieving privately today. I will have another conversation with him but I won’t say goodbye. I’ll say like always, “talk to you soon Kenny...I love you,” and once again my heart will be full.
My heart is with Cathy, Megan and Nicole along with my immediate family - father Ken Sr., mother Lillian and sister Sandy. May you all find peace in each other’s comfort.

I am very sorry for your loss. Ken and I go back to early 80's he was a customer of ours at Frontier since I started in the business. Ken was very much the driving force behind RSES -if it was not for Ken I do not think the Hamilton Chapter would have survived over the years. My deepest sympathies to the Family for a loss of a good friend and business colleague.

We often saw Ken at our Tim Hortons locations, fixing our different refrigeration problems. Ken always had a nice smile and hello for everyone. He loved to talk about his trips and what he was planning next.
He was good at his job and very thorough, often coming in a couple of days later to double check that a fix he had done was working properly.
I was shocked to hear Ken had passed away, especially as he was so young. My staff talked to him just last week when he was in, and we are all saddened by the loss of such a good guy. We were enriched for knowing Ken, and we will miss him.
Our hearts and prayers are with Ken's family at this difficult time.
