Obituary of Ross Robertson

ROBERTSON, Ross Peacefully on April 16, 2013 in his 85th year at the United Mennonite Home in Vineland. Loving husband of Laura (nee Gladysz) for 60 years and devoted father to Christine Switalski and her husband Jan in Grimsby, David and his wife Karen in Texas and Joanne in Vancouver. Cherished grandfather of Eric, Nick, Meagan and Stephanie. A construction engineer by profession, Ross was a long-time employee of Stelco. He loved to build and among many other projects, constructed his first family home in Stoney Creek and his dream home many years later on the Grand River in Cayuga. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family and his church, his resourceful ingenuity, his love of the outdoors and his joy in life’s simple pleasures. The family extends our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the United Mennonite Home, especially those in Harbour Lane for their compassionate and loving attention during his three years in their care. Visitation at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral home Chapel on Saturday April 20, 2013 at 9 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
