Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Black

BLACK, Elizabeth Anne (Betty) - Peacefully at her residence, on Saturday, September 29, 2007, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Elizabeth Black, widow of the late Albert William Smart Black, in her 73rd year. Devoted mother of Robert and William Black and the late Beverly Anne Platt and special Mom to Bob D. Cherished grandmother of Randy, Jason, Jessica, Nathan, Matthew, Jamie, Branden, Tyler, Jackson, Spencer and great grandmother of Swayde, Austin and Summer. Dear sister of James, Richard, Millie and Erma. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Betty was a member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. Special thanks to Dr. Kate Wiley for her care and support. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, October 2 at 1 p.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
