Obituary of Violet Vera Russell

RUSSELL, Violet Vera (Eagle) April 5, 1917 - July 23, 2011 It is with profound sadness that the family of Violet Russell announces her passing at home on Saturday, July 23rd, in her 95th year. Dearly beloved mother of Andrew (Barbara) Halifax, N.S., Bruce (Beverly) Langley, B.C., Wayne, Hamilton, Danny (Yvonne) Maple Ridge, B.C. and Michael (Marilyn) Caistor Centre. Cherished grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Violet will be greatly missed by her extended family members, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Amy (Murray) Eagle, sisters Dora Eagle, Allison Eagle, Dolly Hill and Amy Bain, daughter-in-law Janice Russell. Violet retired from Lifesavers and enjoyed a life filled with love for her family and friends. She loved to sing and dance and wear her favourite colour of red. A huge welcome greeted all who entered her door. Special thanks to Pat, Joan and the Bayshore Home Health Nurses for all their care and comfort given to Mom in her last weeks of life. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, July 25, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Mountview Garden Cemetery on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 9 a.m. Online condolences may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
