Obituary of Lawrence Joseph Scholes

SCHOLES, Lawrence “Larry” Joseph It is with so much sadness that Carol, Cory and Brenda, Tracey and John announce the passing of their husband and wonderful father Larry. After a long period of suffering, Jesus took him home. Papa will be missed by Matt, Alison, Ryan, Jack, and Hailey. Larry will also be sadly missed by sister Margaret Delisle, shipmates brother-in-law Al and Marsha Peti, along with many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital, especially Dr. Beverly Hattersley, and Dr. Andrew Arnold of the Juravinski Cancer Centre. Larry will be remembered by many teachers, clerical staff, and students who touched his life during his 35 years with the Hamilton Separate School Board. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Eugene’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. Cremation has taken place.
