Obituary of Mildred Amelia Shannik

SHANNIK, Mildred Amelia Passed away quietly, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, on Thursday, September 22, 2011 in her 100th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Harry and son Dick. Loving mother to Donna (Tom Kennedy). Mother-in-law to Sandra. Cherished grandmother of Lori Shannik (Lorne Pearce), Ian Kennedy (Tara) and great-grandmother of Matthew and Brandon. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Thank you to Knox Presbyterian Church members for their prayers and support. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 1 p.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Food Bank or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
