Obituary of Mary Ann Shichowy

SHICHOWY, Mary Ann (nee Shynal) At the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, on Tuesday morning, November 12, 2013 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late “Hank” Shichowy, devoted to each other for 49 years. A loving mother who will be profoundly missed by her 4 children and their families; Lynn Rushlow (Regan), Karen Miller (Brad) of Florida, Wayne Shichowy (Sharon) of Stoney Creek and JoAnn Skalosky (Rich) of Orillia. Cherished grandmother to Isla, Will, Haley and Tessa. Dear sister to Ann Strabac, Lena Baron and Eleanor Mizzan. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends in Florida. Mary and Hank, along with their son Wayne, founded H.A.S. Building Supplies in 1970, where she remained an active and valuable member for 43 years. Cremation has taken place. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, November 15th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Nash Jackson House, Battlefield Park, 77 King St. W., Stoney Creek.
