We extend our sympathy and prayers to all your family. We are sorry to hear that the 'First Lady' has left us... When we think of her we have so many wonderful memories... she was truly a righteous and fun woman. May God's peace and comfort be with you all.

Gloria and Diane
Thanks for sharing your special Mom with us.
The first time I met her was when the mother of one of the kids in my class was rushed to the hospital .Gloria called her Mom and we went there for lunch . She was so generous and gentle with the kids. My last memory of her was when I took Sadie to visit and how happy she was to see her. I still picture them blowing kisses to each other. You were lucky to have her for so long.
You looked after her so well and now she is in the most caring and loving place. She will be missed.

So sorry Gloria and Diane. I know how devestating it can be when you lose your Mom. She had a wonderful life and will have a better one with her Lord and Saviour. And I might add, she raised four great kids.

From: joan peart(Stevenson) My deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother. It brings back many memories of Province Street: playing on your verandah, up in the attic;sending things down the laundry chuteand other thoughts of childhood playmates and the fact I never saw your mother without a smile or heard a cross word from her.

I write this from many miles away, across the ocean, but the Internet has brought me this sad news of Ardella’s passing. Not exactly sad, in that another faithful servant of our Lord is now in His presence.
But sad for me, at least, as I remember the acceptant warmth and kindness shown by Ardella and the other members of the Shinn family to this “preacher’s kid”, all those many years ago. How kind to me she was, and the warmth of the family at 175 Province still glows in my memory. Thank you all.
Gloria and Dianne, I shall especially remember you in prayer, and thank God for Ardella’s witness. “Enter thou into the joyful presence of thy Master.”

From: My dear Aunt had the imprint of God on her life and I can only imagine how she was greeted today with the words .. You're Home! Her parents, brothers and sisters, husband, daughters and son-in-law were all there to greet her. Both Gloria and Dianne gave their time, love and devotion to their Mother ensuring that she was well taken care of here on earth but now she is home and walking with her Savior. Her goodness, kindness and love will be missed but we know without a doubt where she is and our memories of her will be our comfort. Love, from her niece, Brenda and husband Stan from Pennsylvania.
