Obituary of Betty Jane Short

SHORT, Betty Jane It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Betty in her 67th year. She passed away in the early morning, on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Chester of 43 years. Loving mother of Bill, Richard (Rosie), Betsy, Linda and predeceased by daughter Pamela. She leaves behind her siblings Evelyn, Pauline, Ron and Ken and many nieces and nephews in New Brunswick and grandchildren in Ontario. Will be greatly missed by Charlie Nickerson and his children Pam (Mike), Keith (Christa) and Sandra (Zdenko). Betty was a member of the Twin Seas Trailer Club and Fifty United Church Quilting Gild. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Fifty United Church (Hwy. #8, East of Fifty Rd.) on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 10 a.m. Interment Mountview Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
