Obituary of Muriel Irene Shuker R.N.

SHUKER, Muriel Irene (nee Sturch) R.N. Passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Wellington Nursing Home in her 85th year. She was predeceased by her husband Dennis. Missing her sadly are her children Judy and recently deceased husband Jim Sutton, Barb Toth and her husband Andy, David and his wife Nanci, Ric, Jim and his wife Jane. Muriel was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to Jen Sutton, Jill Wiebe and her husband Richard, Drew Toth and his wife Emma (Dalylah and Athen), Andrea Toth, Adam Shuker, Courtney Shuker, Morgan Shuker and her special friend Brad Leitch, Michael Shuker, Mackenzie Shuker, Kailyn and Ian Kelly (Emma), Christian Bunyan (Cyrus). She will also be greatly missed by her childhood friend Jean Wayne. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday, September 28, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private Memorial Service will be held. Muriel has asked that her organs be donated, and we already know that someone will get sight from her eyes. The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff at the Wellington Nursing Home for their kindness to Mom in her life, she loved you all. In lieu of flowers, Mom has asked that donations be made to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
