Obituary of Wilhelmina Maria Simons

SIMONS, Wilhelmina Maria - Peacefully surrounded by her four children at her home, Arbour Creek L.T.C., at the age of 93. Wilhelmina Simons was reunited with her beloved husband John, who predeceased her in 1992. Dearest Mom of Joseke Zwolak (Frank), Mary Lacis (Rudy), Frank Simons and Ineke Tamboer (Otto). Deeply missing Oma will be her fourteen grandchildren; Laurie, Jennifer, Rob, Katie and Michael Zwolak, Tom, Paul and Karen McLagan, Chris, Matthew, Stephen and Cathy Simons, and Jackie and Jimmy Tamboer. Great joy was brought to her by her great-grandchildren; Sophie, Carson, Zoey, Megan, Ned, and Lucy, and Laurie's baby due in February. Predeceased in 2006 by her foster son, Jimmy Donat. The family would like to thank the staff at Arbour Creek especially Teresa, Ana, and Julie, for the loving care they gave to Willy. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Ave. Dr., Stoney Creek on Monday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at the funeral home Monday at 8 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Parish, Nash Rd. and Barton St., on Tuesday, November 27 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Mountview Gardens. In memory of Willy, donations to the Stoney Creek Food Bank, through Food Share Hamilton, would be much appreciated.
