Obituary of Dorene Olive Smith

SMITH, Dorene Olive (nee Ogden-Clifford) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Dorene at St. Peter’s Residence Chedoke on Sunday, December 13, 2009 in her 89th year. Mother is finally at peace. Predeceased by her husband Tom Smith and the late Robert Ogden; father of Robert (Brenda) Ogden, late Roy Ogden, Sandra Haw (Nelson), Sharon Willrich (late Ron), late Joan Baker (Bill), Dawn Lumsden (Dave), Denise Taylor (Dennis), David Ogden (Dee), Patricia Burke (late Michael) and Shelley (Tony) Ogden-Mardel. Cherished grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Roy and Pearl Clifford. Loving sister of Marguerite, Ariel, Helen, Norma and predeceased by Clinton, Isabel, Robert and Jack. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Thank you to all of the caregivers on Elm Terrace that were involved in mom’s quality of life and independence. A private family service will be held at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME (905-662-2948). Cremation to follow. Because of mom’s love for children, donations in her memory to City Kidz (177 Sherman Ave. N., Hamilton, L8L 6M8, 905-544-3996) would be appreciated by the family.
